Caroline Grant is a Clerk to Trustees, Grant Manager, Administrator, and Governance Expert and has over 14 years’ experience as Clerk to the Trustees for both educational and armed forces grant giving charities. Having had a varied career working many different businesses, including Residential Sales & Lettings, Greetings Cards Wholesaler/Distributor and Conservation Administration, there are few aspects of administration, filing systems, and databases that Caroline hasn’t experienced.
Working remotely in a fully functioning home office, travelling to meetings as required.
Remote Working demands motivation and initiative, paramount to success is the ability to communicate with Trustees, Clients, and other external colleagues irrelevant of location.
Balancing the eligibility and public benefit requirements of the charity with the needs of the beneficiaries is a particular skill. It demands an ability to act with confidence, coupling beneficiary confidentiality with compassion and guidance to ensure that the process is as swift and efficient as possible whilst fulfilling the charity’s purposes.
Responding flexibly to the varying demands of different charities and businesses is customary and time is allocated to each charity as part of prioritising for the working day, week, and month ahead.
